20 time post #2

Today for 20 time I watched a play along tutorial on YouTube for the Tenor Sax. The obstacle I have over come was I have never played a woodwind instrument in my life so I had no idea how to start learning it so i looked up a tutorial on YouTube. Today I learned how to play notes G, A, B, C, D, E, F, and F sharp. What's next is for me to learn the rest of the scale.

20 Time Project: 1st Post

My 20 Time Project is to learn an instrument. I will either be learning to play a Saxophone or learning to play the Trombone. I have not made much progress in the past two weeks but I have made some. Today I looked at how to play trombone and how to play saxophone on WikiHow. I also looked at slide positions for the trombone so I have an idea of what I'm doing. I have had to over come an obstacle for this project, I need to get an instrument from Mr. G. and when I asked him about it last week he said I needed to come back next week (this week) because the 4th and 5th graders would be picking instruments and he didn't know what instruments he needed to send to Mr. Rupp. So I went back yesterday to check with him and he said ask him at the beginning of class today and he will ask the trombone and saxophone section leader to make sure I wouldn't be taking someones instrument. Whats next for me is to have to instrument by next week so I can start playing on it and learning.

20 time

I have decided for my 20 time I will be learning to play an instrument. I'm not sure what instrument yet, I'm trying to decide between the alto saxophone and the trombone. The alto saxophone because its an instrument I've always wanted to learn and its way different from the instrument I play now. The trombone because it is also an instrument I have always wanted to learn and its similar to my instrument I play right now.

copyright poster

A creative commons search is different from a regular Google search in which it gives you images you can use and its not illegal. It limits what you can do in Digital Media because when you are looking for a image to use in Photoshop, the search through creative commons might not give you the search you are looking for.

copy right and fair use FAQ's

1. What is copyright? It means that as the author of what you created you can make or distribute copies, and perform or display your work. You can also give others permission to do any of them.

2. Why should I care about copyright? Because copyright prevents people from copying your work or doing things you don't approve of to it.

3. Which works are protected by copyright? Literary works, musical works, dramatic works, pantomimes and choreographic works, pictorial, graphic, and sculptural works, motion pictures and other audiovisual works, sound recordings, and architectural work.

9. When and how do I register a copyright? You register your work any time before the term of copyright expires, you register with the Copyright Office.

10. How long does copyright protection last? It lasts from the time it is registered and goes about 70 years after the authors death.

11. How do copyright laws relate to your work in Digital Media? Give specific examples. Copyright relates to Digital Media in a few ways like if we are assigned to do a project in Photoshop, like maybe a baseball card. But instead of actually taking time to do the project you just get a picture of a baseball card off of Google, not knowing what the consequences are. But now that we have learned what it is we know the consequences and know not to do it.
